Mukul Roy hospitalized after deterioration in health

On Sunday night, senior Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy was admitted to the hospital due to deteriorating health. However, as per the hospital's statement on Monday afternoon, his current physical condition is better.

Roy, a former railways minister, had won the 2021 assembly elections on a BJP ticket from Krishnanagar North but later returned to the Trinamool Congress.

According to Mukul's son Subhranshu, his father has been suffering from a neurological problem for a long time. At times, water gets accumulated in his head, leading to a deterioration in body balance. Currently, he is receiving treatment under the supervision of a neurosurgeon.

Subhranshu mentioned that Mukul's health deteriorated on Sunday morning and worsened during the night. Hence, they decided to hospitalize him without taking any risk. As of now, his health is stable, and he may get discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.
